I love this product. Everything about it is sexy, from the matches and brush (for applying melted wax) to the sculptural frosted glass container to the unbearably sexy scent. The scent itself made me come when I lifted the lid of the box. The scent is a complex and sophisticated blend of green, wood, citrus and floral notes reminiscent of a unisex designer fragrance.
The candle itself is cream colored, not the deep green that I had expected. It’s gorgeous and I spent a little time admiring it before I lit it for the first time. The wax had melted a bit on the very top of the candle and I dipped my fingertip in it eagerly. When melted, the wax becomes a slippery, easily absorbed massage oil. Wow! It even feels sexy on my skin.
I dipped again and again, rubbing it on my hands, around my eyes, on my lips…it tastes good, too. I imagined using it to wax betty or direct a stray hair. Mmm…the fragrance affected me like Sneaky Pete. Before I knew it, I was digging for a vibe and getting comfortable on the bed.
Frustration accompanied my first few attempts to light this candle because some excess wax had pooled up around the wick. Instead, I contented myself with lightly stroking the brush across its surface and then gliding the oil across the surface of my skin. It gave me chills and I amused myself for a while, even rubbing a little of the oil on my earlobes, elbows and knees. It’s rich and shiny and lots of fun to play with.
I tried again to light it. Still no dice. I decided to let it harden completely again and try again in a few hours’ time. This time, I thought, it will be easy to light and enjoy my Afterglow Candle. No such luck. I stuck a match, tip facing up, beside the wick and lit it. It burned out without igniting the wick. Finally, I tried drying the wick with a microfiber towel. Success: the wick finally ignited and held a flame so that I could relax, enjoy my candle, and finish this review.
It smells fantastic while it's burning and left me and the room with a nice halo of scent after it was extinguished. While the melted wax is warm, it's not hot enough to burn your skin. It feels great to first chill a part of your body (nipples, for example) then apply some warm melted wax. Since it stays liquid once it has been applied, I don't think that it would work for waxing betty after all. It did inspire some great orgasms, though.
The JimmyJane Afterglow Candle adds a chic touch of aphrodisiac power to my usual solo play.
