E-Glass Petite Plug

Welcome, Carnal Nation readers! I've reposted this review for your convenience.

The E-Glass Petite Plug is a series of small glass bloops on a flanged circular base. It required little or no lube to insert, felt very comfortable and stayed in place. I was going to recommend it. I picked it up and washed it off. As I was about to place it in the small red velvet drawstring storage pouch that accompanied it, it broke between the pedestal and the first bloop. That left me with two sharp-edged pieces of glass in the palm of my hand.

I'm an aficionado of green sex toys and am very disappointed with this little piece of glass. Had I worn it, it might have broken while it was inside me. If that little piece of broken glass had migrated I could be writing this review from the emergency room.

This may have been a single defective plug or it may be a defect in design and/or materials that caused my E-Glass Petite Plug to break. In any case, I urge you NOT to purchase this plug from
SexToy.com.

UPDATE: Domina Doll has written a feature article for CarnalNation called "Are Glass Sex Toys Safe?" This article includes an interview with me about my experience with this plug and glass sex toys in general.

Seriously scary! I am just glad to hear that you are ok. This is a horror story you only ever vaguely hear about. Kind of freaks me out about using my glass toys now.

Yes! I'm glad, too. Don't be afraid to use borosilicate glass toys (Pyrex) from reputable manufacturers. They're a great, green addition to your toybox.

That is terrifying. Wow.

It's scary, but there's no need to avoid all glass products. We've all broken a drinking glass, but we don't just stop buying them. I've used lots of borosilicate glass toys (Pyrex) and this is the first time that one has cracked, chipped or broken.
